The power of Bootstrap 3
DMS was integrated with Bootstrap 2. I decided that wasn’t good enough for PL5, so I built this plugin with the most recent version of Bootstrap, 3.3.6.
Because of the differences between Bootstrap 2 (which is built into DMS) and Bootstrap 3 (which this plugin is built on), this plugin will not work with DMS as the active theme.
PL5 Shortcodes Engine
PL5 has an awesome engine for adding shortcodes to the WP page/post editor. You can use this same editor to add and configure all of the DMS Shortcodes.
All of the great shortcodes from PageLines DMS!
PageLines DMS allowed us to make awesome websites, and gave us many great tools that allowed us to do so. Some of those tools included several shortcodes that allowed us to add some really awesome content using Bootstrap.
Even though Platform 5 works just fine with DMS as the active theme, let’s face it… PL5 works even better with the PageLines Framework theme. For me personally, once I switched to the new theme, different things on my site started working a lot better. The site was quite a bit faster, and it was easier to change settings and other configurations. Needless to day, I switch from DMS to the new PageLines Framework and never looked back.
However, there was one thing I really missed from DMS: all of the great Bootstrap shortcodes that were built into DMS. I had hundreds of shortcodes embedded all throughout my posts and pages, and they no longer worked with the PL5 Framework theme. So that’s why I set out to create this plugin.
The DMS Shortcodes plugin will let all those broken shortcodes start working again, without having to change any of the existing codes from your posts/pages.
So if you’re on the fence about making the switch from DMS to another theme, specifically because you knew all of your own shortcodes would stop working, then this plugin is perfect for you!
Even if you never used DMS and don’t have a clue what any of these shortcodes do, you should still check them out. They offer a lot of really cool tools that I know you’ll love.
